Education

We focus on organizing and carrying out activities that promote our unique native plant ecosystem and its importance to the human community.

We plan and develop summer classes and family activities, standards-based school outreach programs, online lessons and adult education, as well as KNPS displays and activities for community events. We also contribute to creating appropriate interpretive signage, brochures, and other public information.

Events include:

Spring Tree Tours for local 3rd grade classes, Tree Cookie Tuesdays in July, and planning and coordinating with the City for Arbor Day. Although the North Idaho Native Plant Arboretum is often the site of KNPS education activities, volunteers also take education activities off-site to eco-focused events and local schools.

Volunteers are always welcome! Please use the form below to contact the Education Committee.
